Day 14 after first round of treatment, can touch my hair without at least a dozen or more strands coming out. Can't really wash it without many, many strands. Time to shave?

Everyone is different, I thought I would crumble when I lost my hair, but actually the day we went to get my wigs, my hair started falling out, that night I had my boyfriend shave it off. The next morning I had my girlfriend come over and razor my head, I actually loved being bald after the initial sight of it. I chose never to wear either of my (very expensive) wigs but opted for do-rags, better fit my personality....

Yes. This is when I shaved mine. For me, it was much more traumatic seeing it constantly coming out, than not having any at all. It is traumatic to shave it, but you will feel so much better after!

I cried the say we shaved mine but honestly by the next morning I was over it. Having it in my good and on my pillow was way worse. The anticipation of hair loss can be worse than actually losing it. That's not to say I didn't cry for every day the following 6 months, because I did. But I can tell you that within a year I was having trims once again and within two years you'd never know I had lost it. Now four years, I gave more than ever, so while what you're going through is very difficult, there will be a light at the end. Holding you in my thoughts!!

@A MyBCTeam Member thank you! I have a 12 year old son and I have given him advanced notice but reality may be different. Trying to look at the pros. Hugs.

@A MyBCTeam Member you are beautiful, short hair and all! I do believe I would have shaved it also if it werent my daughters request & fear of seeing me bald so fast (poor thing actually developed 2 ulcers from this whole BC experience) falling out by the fist fulls made me cry! I actually was putting it in a bag and saving it for some strange reason. @A MyBCTeam Member, remember when shaving tonight, this is only temporary and a side effect of having life..I'd lose my hair again anytime to be alive! (plus my new hair blows my old hair away!) stay positive and keep believing xoxo
