I did not. Oncotype score was 14, and I was relieved that I didn't have to put myself through chemo. I was also hormone receptor positive. If I had been negative, then chemo might have been recommended.

Hi, I had 2 tiny tumours... 1mm and 4 mm, grade 1, er+pr+. Oncotype was and is not used in Canada at that time so regularly as they did not feel it was validated. I was not recommended chemo. 5 years out. Fingers crossed. :)

I told the oncotype folks that I would not pay for the test and that they had to find resources for me. My insurance would only cover a portion, and they did. I agree with the oncotesting. It really saves folks from having chemo which is costly and hard on the system, when it is not necessary with low onco scores.

I agree with #mamaH...the Onctotype test scores you from 1-100. They take a sample of your tumor and do testing on it. My score was a 12 and showed that chemo would not buy me anything. Still was my decision but I chose not to have chemo. Some insurances don't cover the cost of the test but I believe the lab that does the testing might help with the expense.

I also know lots of stage 1a ladies. Not one had chemo except god a lady who was triple neg, and one who had her2+.
