@Kristia it usually gets better after you have expanded a few times, the muscle has to stretch. I took tylenol for the discomfort and my plastic surgeon told me to use ice packs, that helps.
@Marnie, it does get better but it takes time. It was the worst in the beginning but as I expanded it wasn't so bad. Yes I have my implants, they feel great! They are soft and quishy lol and I was laying on my stomach the day after I had them put in.

Yes, mine hurt and was very tight. The expander is not a comfy devise. When they take it out they also cut away a lot of scar tissue before putting in the implant. Releasing the scar tissue and having a soft implant (as opposed to the hard expander) has made a big difference in comfort. All the pain and tightness has gone away.

My doctor gave me Valium a muscle relaxer, plus instead of getting 50cc each fill, I would get 40. That itself made a big difference. Plus I also changed from every week to every other week. I feel like it's taking forever now, but I'm almost done.

Yes, I had cramps and pain as well. It goes away eventually but you can ask your PS about muscle relaxers or pain killers if over the counter stuff doesn't help.

I kept on my ugly restricted bra as long as the expansion was taking place. If it is to painful, ask them to reduce the amount of increase they are doing each time or wait longer in between appointments. I had permanent expanders. At the time they were 'cutting edge'. Today I am recovering from their deterioration. Saline implants are much safer. Good luck.
