Had a ultrasound today per gyn recommendation and was thicker than she liked. Preformed biopsy at same time. Has anyone had this on tamoxifen. What was the outcome?
I was on tamoxifen as well. But when my blood levels showed that I'm in post menopause they switch me to letrozole which makes me have hot flashes, night sweats, cnt sleep through the whole night and tired. Been on it for awhile now the symptoms are getting a little bit better especially the hot flashes still have trouble sleeping all night though and I just stay tired because of all the other medicine I'm on and my job hope this helps wish you the best of luck
Thanks that makes me feel better. I was on tamoxifen for 2 years before being swapped to anastrzole, took blood work to check hormone levels to decide to swap.
Hi, paigeg! In January will be two years that I am on Tamoxifen and in my two yearly gyn checkups until now my doctor saw my uterus lining thicker too; I had a hysteroscopy each time and a biopsy and it was fine both times.
I'm menopausal now -I guess with the help of Tamoxifen- and haven't had my period in a few months... (I wonder if they'll switch me to another med or if I'll stay with Tamoxifen. I so wish I didn't have to take anything...)
How was the recovery from the hysterectomy? I am now post menopausal so they have switched me to astrzole. Did your biopsy come back cancerous?
Yes, and I had a total hysterectomy within a month. But I will say my lining was so incredibly thick. She did not like that, and I was having very heavy periods.
