It started about two weeks post-op
@A MyBCTeam Member: yup - gotta (gently) stretch it. I had my mastectomy in 2018 and I still do stretching almost every day. Best place is in the shower when you're already warm and loose...start spider walking your fingers up the wall in front of you, and then with your arm to your side - a little more each day. You might also wanted to look into physiotherapy- especially one that deals in post breast-surgery. Hugs 💖
Second the pt specialist, she really helped mine go away.
@Stehanie1623 I use an arm band and stretch side to side. No gym so if I have light cording coming on, I will stop at the kitchen sink and place my arms about 2 feet apart and do standing push-ups, lol. But, it keeps cording away. As Melissa said, the shower works it out too. Good Luck! 💐
I also had cording all the way down to my wrist. I watched some YouTube videos. There is one lady called The Breast Cancer Physio. Her videos helped tremendously! She is a physio therepist that specializes in breast cancer post op complications. Hope this helps!
