What is triple negative breast cancer

I was dx’d with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) 3 years ago. As said above it is negative for any hormones that cause the cancer. So it is much more difficult to treat. Chemo and radiation are usually the first line of defense since there are no pills or treatments after chemo that will prevent reoccurence. For that reason there is a much higher reoccurence for the first 5 years. They won’t call me NED for 5 years from the end of treatment, I have 3 more years to go.
