Recovery

Recovery

How much time did you take, and was recommended by your doctor, after a lumpectomy? After the second surgery to go in and get clear margins?

My first surgery/lumpectomy was on the14/Nov/18 along with lymph nodes for testing and the second to check the margins was on the 19th/Dec/18 so there was a month there and then I would say like any surgery 3 to 6 weeks recovery no stretching or reaching for recovery. Everyone could be different but take your time for recovery
If you have lymph nodes removed. It could take longer because you will have a drain that takes up to 3 weeks or sometimes more before it can be removed and that would be done the same time as the lumpectomy if done at all

Thank you!
My first lumpectomy w lymph node removal was May 22, (lymph node clear, but they found two kinds of cancer), my next is June 12. I would have liked them spaced further apart... which was not medically recommended.
It’s so hard to concentrate on work 😊
